Cottages that earn their keep

A cottage is not a tent with better manners. It is a small building with a large personality — the thing a guest chooses from fifty other listings because the roof looks like a decision.

We design for three uses. First, Airbnb: a key that photographs itself, books on weekends, and does not ask for a concrete villa. Second, boutique hotels: clusters that feel like a village, not a corridor. Third, landowners: a way to let a quiet plot speak, and pay, without waiting for a high-rise.

Forms include A-frame clusters, barrel vaults, star roofs and domes. Interiors carry lofts, hammocks, carved doors and woven ceilings. Structure, shingles, weave and furniture can leave our Assam yard as one specification.

Long lasting is not a slogan. Treatment, joinery and roofing are the difference between a pretty season and a ten-year asset.
